You might be wondering where the title of my blog came from. To tell you the truth, it came to me while eating a spoonful of natural crunchy peanut butter mixed with cinnamon, and wondering if anyone else had come across this delightful taste combination. I typed "peanut butter and cinnamon" into the Google search bar and thought "Hey! That should be the name of my blog!" My search results? A few recipes for peanut butter cookies with added cinnamon, cinnamon buns with peanut butter icing, or the classic: peanut butter-cinnamon toast - try it, it's delicious. (My personal favourite: peanut butter on a toasted cinnamon-raisin bagel - with more cinnamon sprinkled on top, of course!). Thanks to Google, I have also discovered that Peanut Butter & Co sells a flavour of peanut butter called Cinnamon Raisin Swirl. As the company is based in New York, I have yet to try this. If anyone out there is travelling to (or lives in) NY and wants to send me a jar, feel free! :)Alright, so I have a name for my blog. I still don't know what will make this blog unique in the sea of food blogs out there...but I am going to make it my personal goal to come up with a delicious peanut butter-and-cinnamon-inspired recipe of my own to share with you. Time to brainstorm... and experiment!
Edit: (March 2011) They now sell Peanut Butter & Co in Canada! I bought some at Sobeys a couple of months ago. Yum!
